Présentation

Lodie Kardouss is a french contemporary dancer based in Brussels.

She began her professional training in paris at Irène Popard’s center and danced in a Junior Ballet in Bordeaux before completing her professional dance training at P.A.R.T.S Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker's contemporary dance school in Brussels.

Since she graduated she has performed with Jean Abreu Dance Company (U.K), Charleroi-Danses/ Michèle Anne De Mey (BE), The Forsythe Company on an installation/performance, Le Lab & l'Orchestre des Champs Elysées (FR), La Monnaie Brussels Opera (BE),
Mancopy Dansecompagni (DK) with Jens Bjerregaard (DK), Dominique Porte (FR/CA), Kuik Swee Boon (SGP) Rachel Erdos (ISR), Tim Feldmann (DK/USA) and Tomomi Yamauchi (DK/JP), Willi Dorner (AT), Romeo Castellucci (IT) and Cindy Van Acker (BE) and Les gens d’Uterpan/ Annie Vigier and Franck Apertet (F).

As well as performing she works as a choreographer.
She’s currently collaborating with Le Lab>Jean-Philippe Clarac and Olivier Deloeuil (F) on Harawi, a song cycle for soprano and piano, written by Olivier Messiaen.
She also works as Willi Dorner’s assistant on some productions of Bodies in urban spaces.

She is involved in pedagogical actions and was invited in France, Belgium, Portugal, Denmark, Japan, Lebanon, Finland or Ukraine to give workshops in contemporary dance or tap dance (National French competition : 2nd Prize in 1998).
In this context she also choreographed pieces for youth aspiring dance companies

As well she gives dance introductions in different venues in Brussels.

She extends her actions in the art field by collaborating as a model for body casting with Daniel Firman, producing a performative evening, working as a props assistant or by founding with other dancers and choreographers a dance organization.
In parallel to her dance career she studies jewellery at the school of art of Brussels RHOK- Academie voor Beeldende Kunsten Etterbeek where some of her works are sometimes exhibited.
